It's illegal to make it illegal to show your ballot. It's a direct violation of the First Amendment especially because it can contribute to corruption and voter fraud.
Looks like the law has never been enforced. The concern is political advertisement to influence voters at the polls.
But, yes, if you're not interested in taking a case to the supreme court because MO has voter intimidation laws that violates the first amendment, no reason to be the "Roe" of voting laws.

The worst part of this is that generally, no one cares. They want their guy to win and how they get their doesn't matter, we saw this during russiagate.

McConnell will probably do the same thing he did during Obama and obstruct every potential change.
So why wait around for it when I can just go to another country that already has the stuff I want.

I brought up the UHC topic when we met with Crenshaw. He was NOT having it. I was greatly disappointed. He was adamant that the employer-insurance company setup was good enough and that we shouldn't mess with that. He feels like UHC would be too costly, unwieldy, and that the government would do a shit job of managing it compared to the current state. A very "classic GOP" position about small efficient government. I somewhat agree but Healthcare is one area where the government should step in to "promote the general welfare."
I said all that to say this: you're right. I really don't see how we can get a true affordable UHC option even with Biden. However...we should be able to get much closer than before under his presidency as long as Harris can influence him to move that direction.
