Texas joined by 17 red states in Supreme Court lawsuit to overturn Trump’s election defeat

Texas has been joined by 17 other red states in its longshot Supreme Court lawsuit to try and overturn Donald Trump’s election defeat.

Texas attorney general Ken Paxton launched legal action against Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, which were all won by Joe Biden as he claimed the White House.

The 17 states, all of which supported the outgoing president, have now filed an amicus brief in support of the case to throw out Mr Biden’s wins in those four states. -snip

More treason out of team Trump and really what these states are saying is "we want our Federal funding cut please".

Stands to reason Kamala Harris will run in 2028, or in 2024 should Biden decide to not run for a second.
I have a feeling he'll run for a second term. Sorry Harris, stay milfy. 👆

Unless something happens where Biden is incapable of running, he will absolutely run for a second term. That just gives Harris four more years of experience under her belt for 2028.

Exactly 👆

Good Lord, imagine Harris as President one day. 😘

I think she'd do well.

According to whose standards?

It's a scary thought for sure. Oh, and just ignore Blakey, he's a friggin' idiot.

Mine. 😬

IOW, nobody whose opinion actually matters.

"who's" not "whose"

They are different like night and day; night and day are supposed to be different. What's wrong with you?

Blah, blah, blah, blah.

F*** off, spelling nazi.

"Whose" is correct though.

"who's," short for "who is"

"whose" a possessive pronoun not appropriate for this context. 😛

Yep, "who's" is a contraction of "who is" but don't tell little drunk Blakey that.

I think I made an error there. I apologise.

Unless there is structural reform, 2028 will go to a Republican, because the a-political Americans who decide elections have a misguided sense of fairness that includes the notion that the parties should take turns every eight years. That Republican will be another one-term loser, and in 2032, we will see a President Buttigeig.

Not saying you're wrong as that seems to be the format, D-R-D-R-D, but I think Trump's orange cheeto stain is going to linger over the GOP for longer. eg if Paul Ryan runs in 2028, he'll be reminded that he was Trump's houseboy and then used cowardly "but I had no choice!" excuses after he left. We're also going to have around 350+K Covid deaths before Trump leaves office, that won't be so easily forgotten.

I think we'll have Dems for 12-16 years, but you're absolute correct on the reform. Dems also need to push to make PR and Guam proper states, it's time they stopped being second class citizens.

It might fall in favour of the dems.

You see the same thing with party leaders in Canada. They generally change after 2-3 elections but there is no limit to how many terms a prime minister can be in office.
