Gast vs Super Cell

Multiverse.

The Namek fuse of the entire race, vs a Cell who conquered his entire universe.

In the novelization, Gast admitted he was inferior to Gotenks. Imo, Gotenks is still inferior to Gohan and Cell is able to fight Gohan evenly. Therefore, Cell>Gast

Of course the novelization could be wrong but as it stands those are my thoughts

What about ssj3 adult gotenks makes you think he's still less than Gohan?

For one, Buu seemed more impressed with Gohan than Gotenks. And again within the novelization, 18th Vegeta says that 18th Gohan is the strongest of them. Though that might have been years before the tournament.

I haven't seen anything to suggest Gotenks is stronger than Gohan as of yet. If I'm missing something let me know

Well considering that Buu doubled Gotenks' power, it's hard to imagine that Adult Gohan would still be over twice as strong as Adult Gotenks who was specifically stated to have a large power increase because of his adult body.

It was stated that he only taught them a new fusion dance that doesn't require the wait time after it ends.

I don't recall anything that said he increased their power

Here's the quote from the novelization:

As for you two, Gotenks absolutely needs a power-up against me! The fight wouldn’t last a minute if you used your full strength, which you absolutely must do. So, I’ll give you all the secrets I’ve discovered about fusion during my vast exploration of the universe. With that, you shouldn’t have to deal with the fusion expiration problem any longer, just fight to your heart’s content!

According to this, it seems like Buu only gave them secrets about fusion to ensure the fight didn't end too quickly. The boys would have to use SSJ3 and as established earlier in the series, they can only hold that form for about 1 minute. This ensured they could refuse right away and keep fighting, which they actually do

And things start pointing to surpassing Gohan, or at the very least being neck and neck.

On the other hand, Vegetto's Bra is also an overpowered Mary Sue, and that universes comparably powerful Son Gohan told her to hit him if she needed to work out her frustrations, so she didn't get them booted from the tournament.

This same Bra nearly killed Vegetto in a tantrum.

Good point. I read that as Gotenks just talking up his new "abilities" rather than him saying he was twice as strong

Gohan was around twice as strong as SSJ3 Gotenks. Super Buu and Gotenks were pretty even and Gohan came in and shit all over Buu

Given these pages though I am inclined to believe Gohan isn't as far above Gotenks as I once thought. Gotenks might be the superior one now

As for the fight, still leaning towards Cell until we see more from Gast. I used to think he was on Vegetto's level but his admission to being inferior to Gotenks crushed my dreams
