Conservatives actively discourage post-secondary education, and push teens into trades. It is almost as if they recognize there is an inverse relationship between education and conservatism, as well as education and religious belief. It could not possibly be that they prefer that people remain dogmatic, fearful, ignorant, and easily-manipulated. As Trump says, he "loves the poorly-educated."
This is to say, that you would see more Republicans trying to buy their children into college if they valued college or an education in the first place. Just look at how they look down their noses at "student activists" and the "liberal elite"—dog whistles synonymous with "they think they're better than you because of their fancy book-learnin'."
Somehow all those highly educated people got us in to 22 trillion in debt, endless wars. Turned America into the worlds scapegoat and developed social networking platforms that spies on hundreds of millions of people, sold their data and now under criminal investigation.
Those ivy leaguers is where the government recruits from to fill their ranks as well. So all those highly educated people must be dumb as bricks.
