Tyrant was playing with the heralds, he could've easily killed them all, but that wasn't the reason behind their capture. Thanos was amped by an item of power. Galactus is a leaking balloon, and is always in survival mode. Tyrant was killing a fully fed Galactus.

Cyke stopped Thor's Mjolnir slam with one finger (a gesture basically). There is no way Tyrant can do that.

I always sigh when i read this issue. Should've pressed the attack instead of going into a monologue. He had him on the ropes glare

But yh considering God Doom could tap into the power of the entire Beyonder race whilst lone Beyonders took out the Celestials/Abstracts and a few took out LT, this showings great for a Phoenix host 😉

What have we seen? The PF and Galactus never fought when either were at full power. At least Tyrant fought a fed Galactus.

The Rachel vs Galactus battle highlighted that ultimately it wouldnt matter.

Galactus highlighted the difference between them, hes a physical, finite being reliant on outside power sources, whilst a Phoenix avatar is tapped into an infinite reservoir of power.

Even if he had just fed on a planet or two, that is overall still far less power than a host has at their command and Galactus would eventually burn through his reserves fighting one.

After Rachels battle with Necrom her mind was damaged and the Phoenix Force took the driving seat temporarily whilst Rachel healed.

In that battle with Galactus it was the PF in control channelling its power through Rachel.

this was an odd interpretation of the Phoenix Force as it was presented as naive and almost childlike.

Cyclops was one of the most competent Phoenix hosts we've seen, all things considered.

If only he had shut his mouth. I'm surprised he didn't start making X's with his arms.

Cyke alone could probably beat Tyrant. I don't see Tyrant casually stopping a two handed Mjolnir slam from Thor with a single finger. That's magnitudes more powerful than Thor.

The more represented a character is the bigger variety of showings its bound to have. Look whats happened to Galactus over the years.

Its been well established that power levels differ between hosts and the Force states in Phoenix Resurrection that Jean is its most powerful and influential avatar.

Look at the Necrom vs Rachel battle within Excaibur. Necrom wielded a tiny slither of the Force he stole in the time of Feron and yet his power displays were far more impressive than Rachel who possessed the majority of the Force. As Phoenix Endsong rightly said, whats a fraction of infinity?

Hosts demonstrate power ranging from herald level right up to multiversal scale displays. Its how its always been. Thors taken out Rachel before yet no one would argue that Thors anywhere near Rachel as Phoenix.

Even the host-less firebird itself is stated on panel not to be the sum of the Phoenix Force but an expression of it. So its own displays aren't necessarily representative of its full capacity.

The only thing thats surprised me recently regarding the Phoenix has been the personality its been given. Its gone from a distant but benevolent entity to a complete dickhead under Jason Aaron and recent X-writers. 🙄
