Bernie Sanders 2020 Election Bid

In my personal sphere there tends to be a TON of left-wingers with some of whom I agree on certain topics. They’re all talking about how Bernie is the best thing since sliced bread and how he’s gonna with the 2020 election. I honestly do not see that coming to fruition; Bernie lost once and is on the fringes of the political sphere. He’s such a niche politician without mainstream appeal nor without an ounce of charisma.

What are your thoughts on Bernie in general?

I think Bernie would have beaten Trump in 2016 had the Democrats not been so corrupt.

Bernie...needs to cool his jets with all the socialism but not all of it.

He's empty calories, tasty but with nothing to offer. Even if Bernie could beat the odds and win the presidency, at best he would be a lame duck for 4-8 years. A conservative majority supreme court and hyper-partisan judicial branch would ensure that nothing he tried to pass would ever get through.

Yeah, as far as I’m concerned Bernie is all bark and no bite. Sure, his policies seem optimistic no matter how rooted in fiction they are. He’s not electionable in a realistic sense.

I do agree with him on certain matters, but he’s working to ostracize the rest of his followers by being so extreme.

Dude looks like he combs his hair with a balloon.

Well if it works for...

Bernie just jelly over Trump.

Welly jelly fo shelly

You say that, but he's had the highest approval ratings of any U.S. senator for the past ten years, consecutively.

And that's great. We're all glad that he's serving the people of Vermont well.

However, Republicans make up ~50% of the country. Why would someone who is fiscally and/or morally conservative ever vote for Bernie Sanders?
