Bernie Sanders Town Hall on Fox News

I guess I have to give some credit to Fox News for doing this, even though some of the host's responses and rebuttals are absolutely idiotic, (for example when she sort of equates Bernie Sanders' wanting down-trodden minorities to vote to help Democrats with Republicans suppressing their right to vote to help their cause -- holy shit, wow -- Republicans denying rights vs Democrats wanting equal rights. It's strange that she misses that minor point). But yeah, I'm surprised Fox News aired this. The crowd seemed very pro-Bernie.

And really, it's about an hour long, but it's worth your time because it addresses actual issues...

I watched it last night, it was pretty good.

He still did the dance on paying for services which is to be expected, the president isn't in charge of the purse.

Pete Buttgrieg (another democrat in the primaries) was on Maddow, that was ok but right now a lot of the candidates are all saying the same thing.

Bernie is essentially the Democratic version of Ron Paul.

I mean I heavily disagree with Bernie's views, but props to him for actually doing this.

He talks like an angry old man, that's the only reason why anyone listening to him. The guy is a millionaire (somehow) off of being a democratic socialist. He's basically a con artist.

What you just said made me think of Michael Moore.

"Capitalism A Love Story is important because it exposes the truth about capitalism, and the great thing is people can learn about the evils of capitalism... for only 9 dollars at their local cineplex"

The fact that people think Bernie has any credibility after he got on his knees and sucked Hilary's clitoris in front of America is rather sad.

Bernie is not afraid of fox at all. Bernie would beat trumps ass in a fight.

So Republicans just wanna deny people the right to vote? It's not merely that they want folk to have to register to vote using an ID or some shit? They just plain wanna strip folk of the ability to vote at all?

Is it being implied minorities are too stupid to get an ID or...what? And we can't blame whatever cost is involved, otherwise poor whites would be impacted too and this is apparently just about sticking it to the minorities.

Fox host: "I think everyone agrees that it's not fair for huge corporations to be tax exempt."

Also Fox host: "But how are you going to pay for all this?"

🙄

Did Bernie praise capitalism for making him a millionaire?!

I don't think he's so dogmatically opposed to capitalism. He's only against the fact that it benefits the top 1% so disproportionately. Like he repeated several times on the program, if you did indeed watch (or listen to) it.

Majority Of Americans Voice Support For Bernie Sanders After Learning He’s A Millionaire

WASHINGTON—Saying they are now convinced the candidate is overwhelmingly qualified to lead the country, a majority of Americans have shifted their support to Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in the 2020 presidential race since learning he is a millionaire, a Pew Research Center poll found Wednesday. “I have my reservations about his policies, but if the guy’s a millionaire, he must know what he’s doing,” said Cleveland-area voter Glenn Mannix, 48, echoing the sentiments of 68% of the voting populace, who were reportedly impressed upon discovering the royalties Sanders has earned on sales of his books has pushed his net worth to seven figures. “Anyone who’s smart enough to make a million dollars has got to have some pretty great ideas about how to move our country in the right direction. You don’t get to be that rich and successful without having a really good head on your shoulders. The man has my vote!” According to the poll, the remaining 32% of voters agree with all of Sanders’ policies, but said they cannot bring themselves to cast their ballot for someone who owns three homes.

The Onion. Classic.

Sick burn bro, you totally got me with your clever quoting.......

the president isn't in charge of the purse.

Just because Bernie has a platform he's still not in charge of creating new taxes or modifying the tax code. He can say whatever the f-he wants about how it gets paid for but really he doesn't know.

I mean everyone knows the president isn't in charge of creating new laws or taxes 🙄

I'll check it out later, but imo, Bernie shouldn't run again, he's better off fighting the good fight in Congress.

Most of the Fox news talking heads are deplorable morons, but they also know their core crowd's mentality very well and play into that.
