Yep. Aquaman is a pretty decent title. I think people are underselling Ares by a ton. Arthur would be in for the fight of his life here. Ares fought Herc on near even footing.

The last time I read anything with Ares was during the Dark Avengers era and he was meh

Well against Sentry, most were meh. He wasn't going to get top billing because he's always been portrayed as either the villain, or outshined by Thor, and Herc. But, his confrontation against Hercules earned him big points imo.

he actually appeared In Contest of Champions a couple years back. He broke out of a containment crystal that nobody else (sentry, multiple hulk, and Marathi included) could get out of, shrugged off punches from an amoed Maestro, fought some creatures that had Sentry's powers (the even made Blue Marvel bleed), and managed to survive a fight with an even more powerful version of Maestro.

He's got some damn good feats.

His only true feats are comic relief moments.
