How come no one talks about this movie?

It's cool as hell.

It could have been a LOT better.
They unnecessarily messed w. his basic backstory for no real reason OR improvement over what they could have just stuck with.

Great casting of Kane, though. James Purefoy really looked the part.

That's Hollywood for ya....they think they can improve things.

Movie would have worked better if they had left Kane's origin Out of the Movie. He works better as a man of mystery on a dark journey like in the stories. If they did make another the guy who portrayed Kane should most def get the part tho.

They could have touched on his ‘origin’ w. a comment here and there, and left it at that. The meat & potatoes of the character is him walking the earth, from one creepy magical situation to the next.

I remember thinking it was okay until the end.

But hell, I barely remember it. I need to watch again.

I didn't read the comics. At all. I did, however, like the movie a lot. Really cool setting, I thought.

^^^The books (and the comics which adapted them) are just plain better imho.
The movie was cool in that we got to see a live action version of the character at least.

The Sword/Fight Scene in the Cave is awesome. That is how the movie should have started... Bad guys celebrating some kind of crime and out of the shadows steps Kane. Rapier in one hand, flintlock pistol in the other and the Wrath of God Behind Him.

Cook character, but I recall the movie being meh to not very good. Saw it a long time ago though.

I've only read one of the comic adaptations from Dark Horse, 'The Castle of the Devil'.
