superman and hulk vs absolute zero

from a different thread but the question was more interesting to me than i first thought.

both hulk and superman have to take a blast from cold's absolute zero (we could say below but not sure that tech has been used on anyone, and....it's pretty nonsensical, frankly.)

who survives it?
who breaks free faster?
HOW does each character's body fight off the cold if you think they do?

Normal free breath trapped Kryptonians and Bizarro Superman. Neither break free. Both are trapped.

so you don't think superman could break free of his own freeze breath....?

if it's the same stuff he trapped Bizarro in, not a chance.

I think Superman could using his HV to break it since his HV already overpower Captain Cold absolute zero blast in Adventures of Superman IIRC(This story i remember was superman been affected by dominus and trying to dominating the world)

We have no science to explain below absolute zero. Absolute zero is a temperature where there is literally 0 energy in that space. How can something have less than no energy?

Unless it is actually hotter than absolute zero.

I’m not the one who said he could use below absolute zero tech. Lol. I agree it’s retarded. But blame dc.

Comics are zany

Scans sponsored by photobucket. Had to say it as wasn’t sure if people could see the subtle watermark

😂

don't think i've seen that before! below absolute zero ftw i guess! 👆

as for absolute zero: phil, that scan may be suggesting that had he actually NOT escaped in time, the attack may have held him. so you think that the instant the cold hits him (since he can't defend until AFTER he's been hit) he'd...i don't know, just resist it as he did below? essentially he'd just break free before the cold had the chance to fully freeze him?

he must have been hit by bizarro's cold vision and frozen. you think he could handle his own freeze breath?

This is weird to answer, because on one hand, if you get to absolute zero [in the realest sense], there's nothing to resist since nothing is moving anymore - all molecules are at rest. Logically speaking, if you get to that point, not even your neurons can move to resist. The hard part for anything [captain cold's gun and whatnot] would be getting him there. But in a comic book sense, he'd most likely just plow through it - and given the energy inside Superman's body [i.e. backed by stuff like this: https://i.imgur.com/hOUtd6q.jpg], trying to get him to 'absolute zero' would be like throwing a glass of water to extinguish the sun, imo.

He also tanked Cythonna's [kryptonian skyfather-ish being with cold-theme] attempt at..this:

that's similar to the reasoning i used to defend hulk. hulk generates energy internally, and supes's source is external, but i'd have thought the latent energy in his cells would be enough to enable him to break free, as you showed. in both cases, it seems the energy inside them might act as a buffer, sort of, that would allow them to combat it initially, or perhaps in hulk's case, to build up IN SPITE of the temp.

i think in superman's case, he would have to break out before all his cells were completely robbed of their energy. hence, i think he would break out first. i think hulk COULD actually be frozen, but that he would simply continue to generate energy from within that would let him break free.

of course, the ice wouldn't block the sun, so superman would continue to generate energy at well, but i don't think he'd be able to break free if he were frozen, as hulk would. if any of that makes sense. lol

How far below absolute zero? Like minus 1 BAZ? Or are we talking about minus 34 BAZIE?

The only way to counter below absolute zero, is with above absolute heat.

Can Superman or Hulk produce such temps?

well superman held up a fraction of infinity which is...infinity so that might be above absolute heat. and hulk is hulk, so there's that. mmm

looking at that scan, i think i'd rather face above absolute heat myself. that whole below absolute cold effect is creepy as shite. 👆

Neither can.

Hah, both can. Superman's resisted Jokers reality warping, and Hulk's gamma power is limitless. LIMITLESS! You'd know that if you were a fan.

Superman's efficiency is far, FAR above 100%. Which means that he generates most of his energy out of nothing. Sunlight is merely a catalyst of sorts for this.

Superman violating the law of conservation of energy should not come as a surprise -- after all, he violates the law of conservation of momentum as well, with his reactionless flight.

Very good!

That's why it's hard for me to now dream of flying (as I did as a child). Deep down, my subconscious knows it is BS.
