Isn't apocalypse a telepath? Both seem pretty vulnerable to mind attacks.

Apoc was an overrated character from an overrated verse. You people hype him up as if he was God almighty. Magneto is a but a flea to these two. It’s a simple match up.

He's not, that is why he wanted to take over the body of Charles, so he could get his telepathy.

I'm not a huge fan of the movie, but I do remember the reason he wanted Charles is cuz he wanted his telepathy.

Yeah, Apoc having telepathy is a misnomer in this film. He never had it on his own.

Yeah, Apocalypse had strong telepathic defenses (hence why he could still astral battle Xavier), and the ability to block telepathy, but he didn't have any of his own, as stated by himself. Which is why, as Surtur already mentioned, he wanted to take Charles' body and his powers. Clip has been edited (probably for copyright purposes), but it covers the gist of it:

Thor is the weak link here. I think Carol could penetrate Apoc's shields, but can she cope with his TK?
