I never said Obama is to be given credit for a strong economy. Presidents in general can have influence but they are not the primary drivers of an economy (despite what the thread starter says). If you look deeper into all the factors central banks have far more to do with economic conditions than any politician. The USA has an economy that is entwined globally and thus far above the ability of any one person to control it
