Couldn't the Ghostbusters do something to stop Candyan or put him to rest?

Is Candyman really a ghost though? I thought that he was an urban legend that became real through lots of people believing in it.

He is a Ghost... unless there is a Reboot I am not aware of.

don't recall candyman being a ghost, but it's been a while since i've watched...

We know Candyman was a vengeful spirit for the simple reason that another vengeful spirit returns at the very end of the movie. There had not been time for a bunch of people to believe in her, so you can't blame belief.

The real problem is, given they’d have to park Ecto-1 in Cabrini Green, would it be up on blocks when they got back to it ready to head home.
