Round 1 Thanos would win if he snaps (Phoenix never showed the ability to wipe out half the Universe with a snap). But then it shouldnt be too hard for her to stop him snapping.

The proper discussion is if the Phoenix entity counts as a life form. Just because it's not carbon based, doesn't mean its not "alive". Why would the gauntlet distinguish between the two? Life is life and the gauntlet is universal.

Because even if it did there’s nothing stopping her from coming back on top of the likelihood it only works on organic life per the Russos
