I don't hate him. I find this whole Trump Phenomenon -- especially Congressional complicity and voter rationalization -- the most fascinating/frightening psychosocial event of my lifetime. This may even be "all meant to be," a teachable moment for everyone.

Certainly this is history come to life, and I am in awe of the dynamics.

This is interesting. Young know-it-alls keep saying, "The US has always been divided and this is nothing new!!!!" but they are wrong. The Information Age, especially social media, has made us more polarized after the 1860s.

He has the petulance of an angry goth teenager, comes across as a man who has trouble accepting responsibility or fault for things, also he seems like one of those comedic bad guys who repeats his henchman's plan back to him as if it were his own.

I'm sure he's not a total moron (same with GW Bush) but if he was as smart as his loyal supporters think he is then I think he would have learned how to manipulate the media better. Been saying for a while now that all he'd have to do to enact a policy is take the opposite stance and people would largely go against him therefore giving him what he secretly wants.

Social media, by those who know how to abuse it, may prove to be far more dangerous than ICBMs.

LOL@ the results so far on the poll. 😂

Well said.

I think Trump's a disaster for the US, he's a shitty human being and I do somewhat worry about the precedents being set for the future with having this clown in office, but I don't hate the man, nor do I wish he'd die. Saw enough of that towards Clinton in the last election, not a good mentality to have.

Name one politician, let alone a President or presidential candidates that’s not a shitty human.

I’ve learned a while back, even the best of man becomes corrupt when they follow politics.

Rob is triggered.

Nope.

The only real issues I have with the Trump has been his trade war shit which is only going to cause recession. Aside from that he has done more things I agree with than Obama. Will vote for him over any current running Dem in 2020.

People who don't like him simply because he's not a softie who fakes kindness are weak-willed and are unlikely to succeed in life. The emotionally fragile will always be victims.

I actually need to think on that on. He wasn’t a good president, but for the life of me, I can’t think of any bad shits be did.

No!

Lincoln started the damn Civil War, or was one of the biggest contributors to it. The man also believed Blacks were inferior to Whites, and one of his plans were to ship all Blacks back to Africa.

Those Blacks didn’t even know were Africa was or if it even existed.

^All correct. He also considered shipping some of them to South America.

Lincoln also said that if he could've ended the war without freeing the slaves then he would've. He only used the moral issue of slavery for continuing the war when it was politically convenient for him to do so. He is not the paragon of virtue that many people have made him out to be.

Where’s the ‘because Bing voted for him’ option?

Lincoln was far from the 'Great Emancipator' he is made out to be, probably true for all historic leaders. The most popular Prime Minister in Britain since Churchill was Blair, and he's a liar, mass murderer and a war criminal.

He's a narcissist who appeals to the worst in people, a huge egomaniac who has divided the country like no other modern President, including Obama.

Seriously though, Trump isn't the main problem (though he wants to be), he is just a symptom of something that has been brewing for a long time, anger that White Males are losing dominance (for the record, I am a 50 something white male, Trumps main demographic).

It's kinda like how the south was always historically Democratic but turned against the Democratic party in the 60s because of the Civil Rights Act, it was all about race.

The hard truth is Trump is indeed a racist, his comments about hispanics, muslims, and his commercial properties discriminating against people of color.

Well, white people stole this country first dammit, who are all the others to want their equal opportunities?
