Are old Star Wars stories still considered canon?

Or did the Disney slave trade completely wipe the Thrawn Trilogy and New Jedi Order off the map, as ANY canon?

With the exception of the primary films and TCW, pretty much everything released before 4/25/2014 falls under the umbrella of non-canon/Legends.
