We learned what "no more mutants" did in the proceeding books tied into HOM.

Except we didn't see it as multiversal or omniversal till two years later in Endangered Species. Every other tie in only mentioned that she depowered mutants on one Earth and none of the alternate universe mutants (Bishop, Rachel, Cable) were affected because of this. Endangered Species retconned it as a coincidence.
