It was surprisingly good. I'm not into musicals and I'm just a casual fan of Elton, but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Very relaxing, very fun. Absolutely recommend it.

I will only watch it, if the film constantly makes references to his homosexuality as if that's literally the only noteworthy thing about him.

Freddie Mercury was an amazingly talented singer - but all they can talk about is how he's a homosexual - that's literally the sum of the entire video.
Shoehorning a rant about Freddie being a homosexual into the video just to further the LGBT-agenda is a disservice to Freddie's skill as a musician.
Or at the very least it comes off as ham-fisted.
