Casino Royal IS a James Bond movie(even if it is a comedy), because it is based on the book of the same name by Ian Flemming (you know the guy who invented James Bond). The team of producers who made the actual JB series of movies tried to get the rights to the book -Casino Royal but someone had already beat them to it. Later Woody Allen got involved and made the movie a spoof as a sort of "joke"
Wrong Thomas, Casino Royal is indeed a James Bond story. It was written by Ian Flemming , dont you know he is the inventor of Bond?? If Ian wrote that book as well as the other books made into James Bond movies, then I think it is safe to say that Casino Royal is a Bond movie!Just because it was a comedy , doesnt mean it doesnt count as a James Bond movie. Like I said before the men who made the other Bond movies wanted the rights to CR but they were beaten to it, Woody Allen later got the rights and made CR. He made it a comedy , a spoof of the bond type movies. Now that is the end of the story. Look it up!
Chubby Brocolli wasn't involved in never say never, but it is still a bond movie. Connery is bond. As a bond fan, i can't appreciate Brosnan as 007, and i couldn't watch Dalton in the role either. Connery, and to some degree Roger Moore, made Bond what it is. I'd like to have seen George Lazenby in another 007 movie. I haven't bothered with any of the recent movies. Hopefully Boring Pierce Brosnan will realise that he has nearly destroyed the franchise and maybe we can get a real bond to save the world. Any suggestions????
i disagree about brosnan....maybe the franchise is going downhill, but i think it has to do with the technology and everything else, and cubby broccoli also...also desmond llewelyn being gone and he is a staple of the bond series...also cubby broccoli is gone...but brosnan makes a good bond to me.....although i agree noodles that dalton was almost intolerable...i still enjoy the brosnan films, though they lack that special something that got me into bond in the first place and they're more like a bruckheimer prodution now....but i still enjoy them all....
