Regardless of whether or not he was actually for or against conservatives he would not advocate punching or silencing people who were simply trying to exercise their right to free speech even if he disagreed with them. In fact, he would be fighting to make sure they have a right to be heard. That much is certain. I'm just imagining now a scene where Cap gets a text on his phone saying "nazis are gathering please help" and he rushes off ready to fight and he gets to the place and encounters nothing but a freedom of speech rally and is left saddened and confused at the entire ordeal.
The scene ends with him wishing he was back in the 1940s.

I hate Nazis. But I also hate Communists. If that makes me a fence sitter then so be it. Bottom line is that Antifa are bottom rank thugs looking for an adventure and people like Whirly who justify violence used against a peaceful person while also arguing that free speech is "problematic" are absolutely reprehensible.
It's like the only thing you guys don't like about Nazis is the racism. I also don't like their totalitarian way of ruling and thuggish jackboot tactics. So when I see people in the left coopting their tactics while denouncing their ideology it makes me sick.
