Zod and Faora both lowered the armor on their masks, Nam-Ek never did. His stayed black and opaque with the metal piece raised, Zod cleared up the opacity but left part of the armor up and Faora lowered the armor completely before Kal-El hit her. Note that the order these are listed in also correlates to the effort needed to make them malfunction.
Nam-Ek's never broke despite 6 clean hooks, a shoulder charge and getting punched into a train which subsuquently exploded. Zod's malfunctioned after getting rammed into two grain silos, getting punched by 8 of Kal's left straights (the same left straights that can derail 400 tons of train) and crashing into a gas station. Even then, it only started to malfunction and Zod actually pulled it off with his own hands. Faora was thrown through multiple walls and then had her head rammed into the ground. Even then the mask only started to malfunction and it took a Maverick anti-tank missile to bring it all the way down.
Kurse is a slow brick that does not hit as hard as Kal. Nam-Ek will let him hit him a couple of times because he is dumb and likes to see if he can tank things, but he is not breaking the mask. Once Nam decides to beat on him it is over.
