Thor: Love and Thunder

I think it's a good thing in general that Waititi is done, though I feel like it makes no real difference going forward, given the state of the MCU at the moment.

Who says he's done? mmm

I legit thought I read an article the other day saying he wasn't coming back. Could just be rumours though I suppose.

^^^I hope he is, if only so he can get started on the Flash Gordon movie.

You make it sound like the DCEU !

They're entitled to a low period though after everything they've given us. But I suspect the real excitement will be when we get the FF, Doctor Doom, Silver Surfer e.t.c. Plus the X-Men. So maybe this whole Phase will be pretty dry.

You say that like the DCEU was ever a coherent, consistent thing.

I don't think it's a low period as much as a shift in philosophy that's only going to continue. But hey, I hope I'm wrong and you're right, tbh.

I've read an article or two saying he's open to the possibility of directing Thor 5.

But I imagine he's having his hands full with Star Wars atm:

I want to see a Thor 4 director's cut to see what they cut out, I know it won't happened.

A lot of people I know liked it, I think because of the Cancer story.

I enjoyed it, just felt they over did it with the humour, and was defo a big step down from Ragnarok.

End credit scene was cool AF though.

^ I too liked the film and in some area's i felt it was better then Ragnarok

Christian Bale i liked as Gorr but there wasn't enough of him in the film

Just saw this. It was utterly awful. So bad it was actually embarrassing to watch.

It was a kid's film but not in an all-ages-can-enjoy kind of way. This felt like something only intended for 8 years or younger, like Power Rangers or something. Heck, the climax even involves super powered kids running around. Just awful.

Also, it continues Marvel's recent track work of having terrible CGI. I have no clue how they can spend hundreds of millions and end with things that are blatantly cartoons.

Sounds like the best MCU film ever then. 👆

Time to get over your nostalgia.

This movie was basically a Guns N Roses music video. I counted 5 times.

I admit there were some things to enjoy, but the first two acts were cringy as f#ck because every character was used as comic relief all the time. So therefore nothing was funny.

It was an inconsistent train wreck mess that was hard to look away from.. lol

But at least there were some fun visuals.

Oh yeah, I enjoyed Russell Crowe as Zeus, but they might as well have gotten Axl Rose to play him. He's fat enough. 🤷‍♂️

just read an article that said the "god of carpentry" valkyrie mentioned when they went to omnipotence city, was intended to be jesus christ. apparently jesus was supposed to be actually shown in the original draft of the movie, but it was obviously scrapped.

what a shame. would have been a hoot to see the son of man throwing out cheeky one liners.

Dafoe Christ would have approved of that draft of the script.

It would have been potentially too damaging to the bottom line, though, I'm sure.

It's okay to poke fun at all the other *fake* gods, but not the one True God! 😇 🙄

Christian groups would have gone reeee-eeeeeeee across all social media and in churches, it would have been more of their imagined "the liberals attack on Christianity" proof. When in reality, just have been good fun.

Just like they reeeeeeee'd Dafoe Christ into near obscurity. 🙁
