In the new book "American Carnage", Ryan refers to Trump correctly as a "baby" who relies on "knee-jerk reactions", how Ryan always wanted to scold Trump all the time and how he felt trapped and had to retire to escape. It was said that Ryan would want to distance himself from Trump as he eventually wants to return to politics and run for POTUS and doesn't want the orange stain of incompetence and corruption that is Donald Trump coming back to bite him.

Trump of course lashed out calling Ryan a "weak, ineffective & stupid Speaker of the House", among other comments.

It's been less than three years and Trump is tearing the Republican Party into two, The Republicans and The Party of Trump. Let them eat each other, it's good.
