I just learned that the @PPFA Board ended my employment at a secret meeting. We were engaged in good faith negotiations about my departure based on philosophical differences over the direction and future of Planned Parenthood. My statement to come shortly.

She released a more detailed statement on her account, the gist of which is the board is overreacting to the various obstacles to PP (Such as the Trump administration and some conservative held states) under the belief that they need a more politically aggressive president. Their former president, Leana Wen, sees PP more as a health care issue, and wants to downplay the politicizing.

As many of you may know, I'm no advocate for pro choice. That said, I can only see this and think of how, if you want to improve your public image, that the absolute WORST thing you could do is have a secret meeting to remove a president, because of her political stance. This is practically a gift to conservative media, and will backfire tremendously.
