A better example would be Oklahoma which was one of or the reddest state in the last 3 Presidential Elections.
When you can drop just 4 states and it changes the election results by an absolute value of 11 million votes, something is wrong with how the system works. There should not be that much of a lean in such a small handful of states.
This is why you bring in Ranked Choice Voting.
