Someone asked me the other day since Thanos was able to pick up Stormbreaker shouldn't he have had the power of Thor? I said no, Mjolnir is enchanted so that whoever wields it would have the power of Thor but stormbreaker doesn't have that power or enchantment so doesn't come with the power of Thor

Right. Only Mjolnir had the worthy enchantment. And since Xap had recently had Mjolnir in his hand , he was able to wield Stormbreaker
