Trump defends sharing Clinton-Epstein conspiracy theory

President Donald Trump on Tuesday defended his decision to share a tweet suggesting Bill and Hillary Clinton were involved in financier Jeffrey Epstein’s suicide, and stoked speculation about the former president’s relationship with the deceased convicted sex offender.

“The retweet — which is what it was, just a retweet — was from somebody that’s a very respected conservative pundit, so I think that was fine,” Trump told reporters, referring to a conspiratorial message by comedian and commentator Terrence K. Williams, which he re-posted Saturday. -snip

^Trump in full desperation to deflect away that he and Epstein were very close in the past, refereed to him as a "terrific guy" and that Epstein used Trump's own resorts to "recruit" some of his girls from.

Except of course when Clinton was asked about his friendship with Epstein, he went something like "we were friends, but I had no idea he was doing what he's been accused of." Granted, I wouldn't be surprised if this is a lie.

While Trump did a 180* and went something like "barely knew the man; I was never a fan of his." When they clearly were friends at one point and Trump did like him.
