A Republican candidate for governor of Texas says he will not fire a prominent white nationalist activist from his staff, despite extensive evidence of the staffer's leadership role in a deeply racist and anti-Semitic group.
Don Huffines, a former Texas state senator and one of three Republicans running in a primary against Texas Governor Greg Abbot, said on Tuesday that his campaign will "not participate in cancel culture" by severing ties with Jake Lloyd Colglazier, who declared "the white race is dying."
On Friday, Political Research Associates published a report detailing how Colglazier became a leading voice in the white nationalist America First, or "groyper" movement. Prior to that, he was a host at the far-right conspiracist website InfoWars.

On Sunday, Republican Representative Thomas Massie of Kentucky Tweeted a political cartoon criticizing Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, which contained a quote from white nationalist Kevin Alfred Strom.
Strom, who founded the neo-Nazi group National Vanguard, took credit for the quote in 2017. In 2007, he pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and was sentenced to 23 months in prison, causing National Vanguard to break apart.

After a group wearing Nazi symbols was seen demonstrating—and yelling antisemitic slurs—in the Orlando area over the weekend, local and statewide officials issued statements condemning their actions as hateful and disturbing. However, Republican Governor Ron DeSantis did not immediately add to the bipartisan denunciations—and his top spokesperson sparked controversy by questioning whether the swastika-clad demonstrators were actually Nazis.
"Do we even know they're Nazis?" Christina Pushaw posted in a since-deleted Tweet. Despite having deleted her Tweet, Pushaw has since retweeted several posts defending her skepticism of the Orlando demonstrations and criticizing those asking for the governor to weigh in on them.
The group reportedly held a banner reading, "Let's go Brandon," bookended by swastikas.

Then again his highest priority seems to be protecting Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J profit margins. Which yeah, isn't very left at all.

And I do believe he stated his true opinion the first time. Joe Biden absolutely believes the black community is a monolith.
Which by all appearances they ARE. But the truth is, it's black activists that are the monolith. They push one narrative, one united front, at all times. There are many many black centrists and conservatives out there, but they aren't associated with the activism, and so their diverse points of view aren't heard.
Meanwhile the Latino/Hispanic activists aren't really a thing. The diverse community is just that, a diverse community. They aren't drowned out by single issue activist coalitions.

It is just strange that there are so many literal Nazis in the Republican party, but conservatives here do not believe they have a White Nationalist/Supremacist problem. I guess if you are a racist, then you do not see that as a problem.
