So ive argued for dudes in dresses to be able to read to their kids at schools and ive argued for trans to be allowed in the military. This isnt that.

This isnt some case where a group is being oppressed because of their race, gender, religion etc... This isnt one side arguing that being gay or a trans makes u a sexual deviant or more likely to be a sexual predator or pedo. Being gay or trans doesnt make someone those things. U know what does? diddling ****ing kids, thats what.

Once you've crossed that line and become a convicted sexual predator, ur wants or needs as far as sexual identity, orientarion, etc.. become non existent in my eyes. They've forfeited those privileges themselves with the choices they made.

To clarify, Im not saying being a trans is a privilege, its a right everyone has. The privilege is getting your surgery paid for by state/federal insurance/taxes. Thats a privilege that criminals and especially pedos should not have imho.

My take on governments paying for cosmetic surgery for changing sexual features it's that it should be avoided in all cases*, because it feeds the body hating premise that says that your body can be wrong and needs to fit a social norm. I'm for being body positive and stop with the idea that trans people are born in "wrong bodies". Let's minimize that so there is no real market for risky surgeries that prey on people with low self-esteem.

*- Gender dysphoria need to be medically evaluated and also happen in a scenario where the citizen is stable and clear minded. I don't think people in prison are safe enough from a psychological pespective to engage in such transformation.

If the person felt so strongly that they want their child to have a male or female parent it should be relevant.
