Generally, anything Gladiator can do, Superman can do better.

Yeah this.

Superman wins a healthy majority.

Same way What If stories aren't valid. It never happened in 616 canon.

Now, that's the battle board interpretation. Why? Because arguably, Waid could (only could, mind you.....My opinion is just that, my opinion) Waid could do whatever the phuck he wanted, because hey, he knows in the next issue it's all reversible. He could have Gladiator come out as homosexual, or Galactus likes chocolate ice cream.....Doesn't matter, because it's all not canon any longer with a swipe of Stramges eyebrow

But... The idea that magical energy would corrupt Galactus' cosmic makeup is highly probable. Let's not move the goalposts based on opinion. We saw it happen after all, which wasn't a figment of the imagination. The process was simply reversed. It's like what if mystical hot peppers turned you into a raging inferno that allowed you the ability to melt porcelain, but then a force out of the blue reversed time, and removed said mystical hot peppers from our reality. If they were reintroduced some time in the future, and you mistakenly ate one, you would again become a raging inferno with the ability to melt porcelain.

The only reason Invisible Women was able to beat him was exposure.
I think it is stated that Gladiator is greater by the o.p. than the exposure factor in this fight.
So if Superman can't see what he is fighting he will have to do it on faith.
And that effort will make it exponentially more in Gladiator's favor.
Gladiator with Superman's head in his hand.
