Did this predict the incel future?

When this came out in the 90's, people laughed.

But in light of recent history, it's hard to look at this and not see it as an early warning symptom, of the kind of sick subculture that craved this stuff, and produced this stuff.

The excuse "It's only fantasy escapism" rings pretty hollow, now that people are literally acting out scenes from this decades old comic book series.

It would be better if the author had consistent reasons for offing those people instead of arbitrary stupid things. He started off okay but descended into idiocy.
