Would the Anti Life Equation hold authority over an Abstract being? Why? Why not?

He’s referring to the ALE controlling the Black Racer, the avatar of Death

If he can control the Abstracts I don't see why he wouldn't win, but if he can't they'd probably beat him.

Well,.Orion controlled a Promethean Giant, who are essentially DC's version of Celestials.

And apparently, Darkseid controlled Black Racer, who is an aspect of Death. Whether that makes him abstract level or not is another argument.

In theory, the ALE should control anything that has a will of it's own, as that's what it says on the sticker. All will, and abstracts do have will.

Black Racer is a universal embodiment of Death. The ALE controlled it.

So yeah, it can control abstract beings.
