aww damn bro, not you! i thought this movie was fire. it was sweet but not saccharine. great action set pieces. love how the spider men play off each other, even alluding to discussion nerds like us often have about the different iterations. i really enjoyed it.

I don't know... don't get me wrong their were things about it I liked, but it's not an epic film and has little real depth, it didn't need to be that long. I know some will argue, the pseudo religious apocalyptic tropes make it epic, but I think epic requires more than just CGI lights in the sky etc. If it had been an hour shorter, I would have enjoyed it more.
Spoiler:
Let's be honest the plot is, selfish brat wants to have it all... finds you can't. Selfish brat doesn't want to take the advice of a character who in his own origin film discovered the same thing twice. Throw in lots of nostalgia and guest stars and hope no one notices what a **** this selfish kid is. I will say though it has set up the situation for a more classic Spiderman in the future

😂 There was a lot to like in it, and I enjoyed it. But, like I say D an hour shorter and as rollercoaster, fluff movies with little substance go it would have been perfect.

I'm going to read all over the Web like with Black Panther or End game it's the greatest film ever. It isn't. I'm not quite Scorsese ( certainly not in terms of talent or bank balance) But I do think he is right about the depth of these films.

I knew what to expect but three hours almost of it takes the gloss off.

Spoiler:
And why does Tobey Mguire look like a cross between a Hobbit and Gollum these days?

I suspect age...

I thought the film would be great. But it was even better than that! And I had a rockin' sold out crowd that cheered wildly at everything in the third act. Best cheering I've heard in the theatre since Avengers: Endgame; or, when I was a young boy in the theatre in 1983, watching Return Of The Jedi for the first time.

liked this movie. it was a good way for them to consolidate the sony-verse into the mcu.

i didnt stick around for the post credits scene, but i heard it involved

Spoiler:
venom
. would someone mind detailing that for me?

I do have another question

Spoiler:
Was there a reason why Spider-Man released all the villains at once for May's well intentioned but ill-advised idea to cure them? Couldn't he have released Osborn first to help make the chip for Octavius and then have the combined scientists make the rest of the cures?

Either that or bring the Stark machine to the Sanctum to make the cures all at once away from civilians?

The plot was pretty retarded.

Spoiler:
Curing the villains is stupid when Otto and Max were taken right before they died, Norman is going to have to live with the guilt of murdering dozens of people, Sandman isn't a villain, so why cure him, and Conors was cured in his timeline anyway.

Spoiler:
Peter could have sent May anywhere else incase something goes wrong....

I'm glad many people agree with me on the plot...

Spoiler:
Eddie/Venom is talking to a bartender about how awesome mainstream MCU earth is. Strange's spell hits, and he is presumably sent back to his earth. A small bit of symbiote goo is left behind.

I don't think

Spoiler:
he'll forget who they are going back to his Alternative Marvel universe either

I hope he returns in the future, he very clearly wants to be a hero lol

Spoiler:
Peter could have kept the villains locked up while he was working on the cure. Maybe bring Norman and Otto along, but wtf were Sandman and Max supposed to do?

Spot On!

Man what a great movie.
I never thought I’d get to see something like this.

...

That was not the post-credits scene.

It was middle-credits.

So you missed two, well done.

Yeah, the

Spoiler:
Multiverse of Madness teaser
was the much larger topic of discussion, imo.

...Especially with

Spoiler:
Dark Strange(perhaps from the What If series?) potentially playing a part.

But before we move there...

Great guess, but

Spoiler:
that shit-eating grin makes me think it's Mephisto posing as Strange. Hey, since Shuma-Gorath is one of the villains, literally anything can happen!
