I think he's still upset over me hurting his fragile snowflake feelings in a recent thread where I pointed out that 'dude' (which he was certain was a rarely used word by people) is a much more used word than 'mate' (a word he and other brits love to use) in the US lol. 😂

Not for nothing, but maybe if you're from a place where the average IQ is only 2 points higher than in the USA you should sit this one out.
The average IQ is always a hundred, people are better educated now so the raw score is higher but the tests are changed to reflect this. The whole basis of the IQ test is it's out of a hundred. Now this may vary country to counry as the chinese score higher than Brits and americans so the standardised iq test used by us and MENSA, will show that the chinese score 108 on average now, this of course is offset internationally by places like India and Africa where raw scores are lower etc. But for psychological purposes a standard international iq test like the mensa test is normalised at 100.

Seems to depend on the test, but why don't you explain the difference in intellectual capacities when it comes to a person with an IQ of 98 and one with 100.

Yeah, some self-esteem and dogma issues have cropped up more recently in the far left movement. Liberalism by its very nature is about openness to experience and different lifestyles, ways of being, etc. But it shouldn't be surprising that it has been taken too far so as to almost be a sort of religion, with dogmatic teachings and "excommunications" (so to speak). But the "dogmatic religiosity" of the left is no match for the "religious right." That's no contest.

The US has an illegal immigration problem compared to other countries. We have a ton of illegal immigrant, illiterate people in the country to to the tune of tens of millions. This is the primary contributor to bringing down the average. I read an article a few years ago that talked about this. If you subtract out that population, our scores jump greatly and put us near the top. Australia has a similar situation if you ignore the aboriginal population but that's considered a very un-politically correct topic for them.*
Also, places like China are known for manipulating who can participate in those IQ exams - the poor or under-educated are not in scope for their testing which irks some of the cognition psychologists who study these things. China will not let proper testing like this be done in their country.
However, China is changing. 30 years ago, I'd estimate they are sitting at 88-94 due to the overwhelming poverty and illiteracy. But they have changed so fast that it is possible far more have access to proper education than 30 years ago.
Japan's, Hong Kong's, and Singapore's results are likely very accurate, however. (Due to the ability to get proper testing across the population and get that information out of the country.)
*Really, how the lowest common denominator is treated is how a country's civility should be judged. That's just my opinion being a dirty filthy stinking Mormon where we believe those things.
