Superman probably could have punched him further than that, but I think he doesn't want to kill lex. Goku is too mortal compared to superman. Who's faster, superman can be from the US to Japan in just a few seconds, not to mention running around the world a few times in the time span of an hour. Goku is no faster than a moving vehicle, superman is way beyond that. As for strength. Superman can lift planets and traveled through a black hole. You know how heavy a black hole is? There's several planets to make up the size of the sun, about ten, superman survived a bigger black hole. If there's going to be any fighting goku got heat vision hotter than the sun and cold breath that could go to absolute zero. What fight you know where superman is facing off against another superman and he doesn't use both heat vision and punches and kicks at the same time? He's going to do that, and I don't see this fight lasting.
