Steppenwolf. Why the resurgence of twilight recently?

Edward's probably too fast for Steppenwolf to hit, but not sure Edward's superhuman physical strength is high enough to seriously harm Steppenwolf, he just might break a nail trying.

Edward would need a weapon, otherwise this is a stalemate (unless one debates the proposition that Steppenwolf is extremely fast due to fighting with similar speed as WW).

The parademons seemed able to hurt Stepp with enough numbers, so Edward should be able to do some damage.
