Why are political activist children treated differently

A while back I posted a video of Mini AOC and the usual suspects here slammed her saying how awful she was and suggested posting videos of her doing her gig was “pedofilia”

Those same assholes are now the ones here who support and defend Greta autistic climate activist.

So what gives

Why are you so hung up on Greta? Bro, she’s 16! Do you remember how much of a chimp you were at 16? To do even half of what she’s done deserves applause. She’s a child speaking on the world stage without having a panic attack.

Even if you don’t agree with her message, you should be incredibly supportive. If more young people took an active role, the world would be a better place.

Take a step back, breath, and smile.

Wow your really stupid. It’s like you didn’t read anything I wrote and came up with your own narrative.

I remember how much of an arrogant dickweed I was at 16. It doesn't help that the school social structures reinforce how some students/athletes are better. Really stratifies students into castes and I hated it even before getting out of secondary school.

1. I thought I knew more than most people.
2. I thought most people were idiots or ignorant.
3. I thought I was almost always right.

Then I grew up and saw how the real world is.

1. I realized that I didn't know everything and was quite ignorant on many topics. You don't know what you are not aware of. This is the most poignant point I want any reader to take away.
2. I now know almost all people are ignorant (worse than what I thought when I was 16) but few people are idiots. As I get older, I sometimes way overestimate others. Humans continue to surprise me with their confidence in their ignorance despite living in the information age. HOWEVER...I am also continually surprise about people having niche knowledge which is one of the blessings of the information age.
3. I know I'm almost always right and I choose my 'battles' more carefully (it's a game of chess). But being right or wrong isn't always the point or even the right direction to take some things.

That said, I was definitely self-aware and socially intelligent to not spew some of the ignorance and falsehoods that Greta does. I'm sure she realizes she's just a puppet being used for an agenda.

I hope when she's older, she will see the religion she's been indoctrinated with as toxic and manipulative.

Good post, all I did was bring up the difference in treatment of Mini AOC and Greta by the left.

Rage dropped some acid and went off on a stupid ignorant rant.

Because 16 yr olds tend to all be emotionally unstable one way or the other is probably why it's wrong for grown ass adults to use them to push propaganda.

Oh and notice there was no outcry over mini-AOC having to stop due to *death threats*?

And while mini-aoc is a joke and light hearted, the left have kids making trump videos literally telling him to f*ck off.

We should ask the people who are apoplectic about someone mentioning the name of Baron Trump in an example of being named "Baron" not being the same as actually being a baron, why they think it is okay to shit all over Greta Thunberg.

That has no relevance to the OP

because thunberg is an activist, therefore it's apparently okay to treat her differently (by shitting on her).

Same with mini AOC

Greta Thunberg is to activism what a quadriplegic is to Olympic gymnastics.

I agree with everything you have said, especially (2) and the last half of (3). You must have been an incredibly intelligent 16-year-old however, as even an intelligent teenager is more prone to influence by what they perceive to be an authority (or the narrative fed to them by all the information they consume).

But like I said in my OP, even if you don't agree with everything she's saying, criticizing her speech/points/facts etc., she's getting the younger generation much more involved. That is commendable.

As an aside, I hope Generation Z will surprise us with their resolve/involvement.

Okay. Forgive me for interrupting the usual flow of these posts.

Go ahead and ask them, if you can find anyone that actually fits that description.

DDM trying to imply he's no longer an arrogant dickweed mmm

I will first say that while it was dumb for that women to invoke trumps kid, yes there was a ton of faux outrage that came after. Though the differences between Greta and Barron need to be made clear: she wants to be in the spotlight, chooses to be there. Willingly. Barron Trump is out there by virtue of his sheer existence as Trumps son, not by some personal choice he made(unless he somehow chose to be born).

So Greta is fair game far more than Barron is. And yes this applies to mini-AOC, despite the fact her stuff is light hearted parody and not ranting at people like a lunatic, she also chose to put herself out there. But again this doesn't mean she deserves death threats. She is also like 8 and not 16.

One could perhaps argue Greta is more well known than mini-AOC and thus that is why there wasn't much of an outrage over her death threats. Yet I still think if there was a "mini sarah sanders" that had to quit doing her parody via death threats it would have gotten more attention.

I think you look down on 16 year olds too much and you think too highly of adults.

You don't magically get a heaping scoop of wisdom at 18, 21, or 25. Most don't, imo.

Another way to word that: kids and young adults are not as stupid as you think they are and adults are not as smart as you think they are.

Good point.

Let me go yell at my employee for being named Krishna. How dare his parents. The audacity!

Fixed your post for you. Now with less stupid and more rightness. 👆

If you agree with me, respond with, "that's nice, chimp".

I have hope in the Gen Zs. They seem to be better than Boomer, X-ers, or Millenials.

I don't think you get wisdom as you get older necessarily, but I think most get at least a modicum of self control.
