Yes - they are using a mystical energy detector, which detects mystical energy. And gives the units in Hercs. It's NOT just getting a mystic energy reading - its SOLE function is to detect MYSTICAL energy.
Therefore, simple logic dictates that....a Herc is a unit of mystical energy.

Yes, but the writer and creator of the Herc, Greg Pak, has written that it's mystical, and mystical energy detecting units are needed to measure it.

I am arguing it can be retconned into the max mystical energy given off by a punch.
Just like a punch can give concussive force, AND say sound energy (the sound of my fist hitting a face). So all I am measuring is the sound energy, which whilst is more powerful from say Tyson than me (as he's better/stronger etc at punching), isn't the total energy.
And my reasoning? Subsequent depictions of the Herc needs a MYSTICAL ENERGY DETECTION DEVICE, as built by the lady who coined the term Hercs.

Carv wants it to be pure physical energy, so that he's going to take Hercs greatest punching/strength feats, multiply by 133, and call it a day.
When all I'm saying is that a Herc only measures ONE component of Hercules's punch, similar to how a microphone only detects the sound component of a punch. So you can't just measure the noise of my punch, and equate it to how much I can lift.
