I have to agree here. No mention of a Death Star, Starkiller Base, or even the planet cracker fleet.

If it's just him on Ego's surface, he's out of luck. 😬

The Guardians required a substantial amount of plot to beat Ego:
- Half-Celestial son who could fight him on equal terms to keep him busy for most of the battle.
- Inside help from Mantis who told them about the core, where it is, what Ego's plan actually was, and who briefly KO's him via her empathic link (which she spent years developing with him).
- Just the right uber explosive Rocket just so happened to steal from their previous job.
- And a pint-sized team member just the right dimensions to deliver the payload.

Unless Sidious is starting near the core and/or has prior knowledge, even he is going to have trouble getting this done before getting energy tentacle raped.

Sidious has more cunning and strategic ability than all of the Guardians in summation. He’s more raw power, to boot. Sidious will just lift the egg-like-core-insect-man and bisect it with his powerful and omega level lightsaber.

Unless Sheev is standing next door to Ego's brain core, he's getting either his head Superman-punched off by Ego's avatar or getting impaled by energy tentacles as Vault mentioned. Even if Palpatine can read Ego's mind to find Ego's core, how is he going to get there to fry it to death?

I mean, palpatine can also read minds from across the galaxy. He should be able to get into ego's head

Palpatine reading minds across the galaxy (do you have a source for that, by the way?) is impressive, but that is not the same as influencing a mind at the scale of Ego's.

Reading Ego’s mind, then traveling to the core of the planet are two different beast.

Ego kill Palpatine easily.

Palpatine apparently destoyed Luke's temple with a lightning bolt from light years away. Is there a reason he can't do that to Ego's brain?
