"Rebekah Jones said in an email to CBS12 News that her removal was "not voluntary" and that she was removed from her position because she was ordered to censor some data, but refused to "manually change data to drum up support for the plan to reopen."

It sounds like this is saying she was ordered to censor some data and to also alter some data. She censored the data, but drew the line at altering data and was thus removed from her position.

She is saying that she was ordered to alter data to show that infections were down, deaths were down, and that it was safe to reopen. She refused to do that, so she was fired.

I do hope she has some evidence to back up her claims. I guess when I think of censorship I think of just hiding information from the public. Or perhaps changing an offensive word to something less offensive, but not actually lying about something.

Yup, it's quite clear.

EDIT: Okay.

Like I said, I hope she has evidence to back her claims.

"blocking" would be the better term to use here, not "hiding" but alas I can't edit any longer.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes...

But yeah, I sure do hope they're not stupid enough to take Trump's medical advice, especially considering he's stated his doctor did not prescribe this and he's taking it on his gut feelings.

Yeah, seems odd. Almost every scenario has been the opposite and the governments are reluctant to relinquish their power back to the people. And the "controversies" have been over-counting deaths on purpose to scare the people into submission.

I hope no democrats follow it either, unlike that married couple who were democrats. One of them died. It was awful.

There is literally no evidence to support that statement. There is one Red State article that states that the wife of the man who died was not a Trump supporter, but it does not provide any citation for that claim.

Right wing media at large does not appear to support that narrative either, opting instead to suggest that she used the hydroxychloroquine advice as a cover for poising her husband with whom she had a history of domestic violence.

But tell me more about all the sextogenerian liberal Democrats in Arizona by way of Iowa who have divorced and remarried one another, and take medical advice from Trump on Fox News.

The Washington Free Beacon, which first reported that Wanda was a “prolific” Democratic donor and that she had a troubling relationship with her husband that included a previous domestic assault charge, revealed Tuesday night that Mesa City Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into the death of Gary, and requested recordings of the Free Beacon’s interviews with Wanda.

“As this is an active investigation, I cannot go into any details at this time regarding the case,” homicide detective Teresa Van Galder told the Free Beacon.

And New York Times columnist re-tweeted the Free Beacon story with this reminder:

This is a pretty good reminder to be careful about too-good-to-check stories that perfectly fit political narratives.”

Finally, here's he original Free Beacon article where they busted this story:

https://freebeacon.com/latest-news/woman-who-ingested-fish-tank-cleaner-was-prolific-donor-to-democratic-causes/

The Free Beacon withheld their full names, initially, to protect their identities. But their identities eventually got out and we now know her to be Wanda Lenius.

If The Free Beacon had lied about their interviews and research into their donations, they'd be in hot water with the police. You also can't slander people so blatantly like that.

Nice. Really want more of this. The anti-science of mask-wearing to prevent getting coronavirus needs to end.

Besides all that evidence there is no evidence. Wow DDM once again misrepresenting stuff!

So the US has passed 92K deaths today and 100K will be here in likely two weeks or so.

What were the influenza death numbers given early on as a means to say covid-19 was nothing much to worry about? 30-50K a year? We've seemingly doubled that.

considering we've had the worst flu season since the 60's this time around (drastically worse) the numbers may not be that far off. I caught both strains this season

We have to hit 138,437 deaths to catch up to France's current numbers, proportionally to the population. France has, arguably, the best healthcare in the world.

France eased some of their lockdown restrictions on May 11th.

Germany eased their lockdowns on May 6th. The news headlines raged about Germany having spikes in new cases and critizied their re-opening despite their previous "they did a good job" track record.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/05/18/opinion/germany-coronavirus-reopening.html

But looking at the data, no such trend exists. It is as if the lockdowns were unrelated.

In fact, you can see a significant drop in Germany's daily cases despite increased daily testing (this usually creates the opposite trend). What gives?

Same results with their daily deaths.

What gives?
