And as I've said many times already, they are massively inflating the death count numbers from the virus.

In addition, the "tests" they use are only like 60% accurate.

Exactly, there's some people who are exempted for very specific reasons, but there's never been a "nope, the masks are useless" sentiment.

Probably because they didn't know a lot about this particular virus and there still needed to be large scale meta-analysis done on previous studies of similar viruses.

Even now the biggest meta study isn't conclusive and it went through 170+ previous and recent studies and came to the conclusion that different types of masks help to differing degrees, more so if implemented with some degree of social distancing but that the analysis had a low certainty rating because none of the studies were randomised control trials (which you couldn't do ethically with people anyway)

What was known about Covid in March quickly changed to what we knew just a month later when the CDC updated it's information.

But I didn't lie, there was never a 'mask are useless' sentiment. It went from not-recommended to recommended, now to mandatory as they learned more and saw the spread.
