I'm sure it's just a coincidence and most of the people were going to die anyways.

Horrific tbh.

'Very proud': Jacinda Ardern defends New Zealand Covid response after Trump comments

“I think everyone can see that in New Zealand today, we are talking 11 cases, whereas the United States has been dealing with over 40,000 cases,” Ardern said.“I think everyone can see that in New Zealand today, we are talking 11 cases, whereas the United States has been dealing with over 40,000 cases,” Ardern said.

What a bell end Trump is attacking her with DDM level gaslighting.

The US is currently in 9th place in the deaths per million; New Zealand is 147th.

He attacks NZ because it has a female leader and that hurts him and TBF, Trumpers believe every lie he claims without daring to look for themselves, so when he says "New Zealand - it's over - it's over for New Zealand, everything's gone", that's reality to them.

R.I.P. Kiwis 🙁

This is the one that ****s up all DDM's theories tbh. Wish he was right, but... sadly, he isn't.

Yeah, the US keeps dropping down the list, for some reason. As if our daily deaths is not enough to allow us to keep our top spot of #6 from a few weeks ago.

We know children/schools are huge vectors from our cold and flu seasons alone. But somehow they won't carry and spread Covid-19?

I know and the possible costs... this could be horrific.

Two weeks ago we were at 8th, I remember because DT and I were talking about it. How far back were we at 6th?

Anyhow, we'd had 1,000+ daily deaths since July 30th, the week before that it was 900+ deaths. Models are predicting that's going to stay around the same until we start to spike in October if we stay on course, so other countries are going to have to really f**k up before we start really dropping down the deaths-per-million ranks.

May or July.

Also, on another note, the UK is seeing consistently, fewer COVID-19 related deaths than the flu and pneumonia. And they are sitting below the 5-year average for deaths of any cause:

Wish the US arranged and displayed this data as well as the UK does. Trying to find this information on the CDC's site is a nightmare. And trying to read the info is unnecessarily difficult.

Yeah, these are the controversial and oft criticised new reporting methodology. Funny stuff.

More than 176,000 people in the U.S. have died from COVID-19.

According to the poll, a 57% majority of registered Republican voters consider that number "acceptable" when "evaluating the U.S. efforts against the coronavirus pandemic."

When asked their opinion of how Donald Trump has managed the response to the pandemic, 86% of Republicans said Trump has done a good job.

When asked about the survey Sunday on CBS News' "Face the Nation," and why there was such a discrepancy between how Republicans view the pandemic compared to other voters, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said it was "a really unfair poll."

The poll was conducted from Aug. 20-22 from among 2,226 registered voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 2.4 percentage points._

New York exempts celebrities from forced mandatory quarantine — which normal people could be jailed for violating

Meeee!!

I'll defend it. Since mandatory quarantine measures don't work, and it's just placebo, you can bend and break any of these lockdown rules.

It seems like you're defending defying lockdown. Are you also defending cities letting celebs but not normal citizens do it?

To give an example, I'm pro marijuana.

Yet it's wrong if some city decided to not penalize celebs for using it, but penalized normal citizens.
