Can an R-Rated Star Wars movie work?

As long as we would get the r-rated versions, it wouldn't be so bad.

But stuff like this is not likely to happen, otherwise every studio would want to re-release their biggest hits "slightly altered" and with a new title the same year.

That's the goal yeah.

I imagine it comes down to (primarily) two things: How profitable it would be, and whether the actors would be willing to sign on for those extra scenes (though reshoots are common enough nowadays).

Tbf if anyone can pull that off successfully or take the hit if it goes south, it's current Disney.

Marvel wouldn't.

But Disney could be.

Do you think Disney is trully going to stick to it's "family friendly" concept?

I mean, sure, when you think of Disney, children is the thing that comes to your mind. But Disney needs to realized that it has transcended the family content spectrum with it's acquisitions.

It's like the equivalent of a car industry buying an airplane company. It shouldn't be looking to stick to building cars only.

I just hope Disney can diversify.

They can still use subsidiaries like they have always done.
