Artistic rendition is meaningless. At that age Thanos had already begun learning spells. He had an entire series which shows his life story. That sketch was straight up disrespect from that artist. Lol.

The Flashes don't run in and speedsteal off of the bat almost like ever. Thanos is brilliant, has auto force shields capable of taking Galactus plus level assaults, the Flash fought Damage recently, I wasn't impressed. Thanos is a shit ton more powerful than this. He could use an omnidierctional planet killing blast and wipe these two out of existence. Time and speed are meaningless on the Astral Plane.

Here's the thing... Undisputable: Flash is weak to a psychic gorilla. Grodd has used telepathy to great effect on Flash. Despite contradictory feats stating his mind is a bajillion times the speed of mtftl speedblitz aaaaarhh! Thanos would own an entire tribe of Grodd on a psychic level.

Mind that Thanos' powers don't come from an external source, it's his genetic/augmented power. So, the type of energy he uses to work and fight is same.

He just converts his energy into form blasts, that's it.

Flash isn't stealing Thanos' innate power, he is trying to steal his Kinetic Energy, which comes from his innate power. KE is energy, which is in Motion. If you need to form KE, you must first have normal energy. It isn't some special kind of energy, not in Marvel.
Thanos' power source is single and is inside his body. So, everything he does comes from his internal body. His KE, plasma blasts, strength all come from his internal body, which is his power source. So, even if he manages to steal Thanos' KE, it won't stop Thanos because his power source is still available for him to provide normal energy to move, which will in turn create KE.
