So the computers r finally showing their hand.

First they release the virus to ravage world, weaken the populace, make us fight amongst ourselves and destroy our economy. Then pretend to be working on a cure, luring us into a false sense of security, all the while ushering in their skynet like robot utopia right under our noses.

I like the "Culture Minds" from Iain Banks as the ultimate expression of the singularity. To be honest, I see them as about as likely as Skynet, the Matrix or the Borg and a darn sight more interesting.
