Ren was a more skilled fighter than Rey. You do not need much skill to kill Palpatine though.

He lost his mother and felt it. He dropped his weapon. His mother gave her life to bring him back. He fight three at a time and he was vulnerable after he killed the two of them. Rey was at odds one on one. Ren needed a weapon. He defeated her with a force push. He was wounded and unbalanced. Context.

At best it's 2:1 in Rey's favor. And Rey is outright superior to Kylo in Force abilities.

Luke woke the guy up in the middle of the night. He was in rem sleep. Ren was wounded and killed father. In ros he dominated her with her having been trained by Luke. Ren was always more skilled than she was.
