I just don't think this is as big a deal as you thought.

Trials for this drug are ongoing, Trump is just trying to give people some hope he isn't saying go out and buy the drug off the street. Fauci is trying to prepare people for the possibility the drug won't work. This, to me, has been the clear message from these two.
