No, Assignment Ada was on the Gamecube original, Separate Ways was added to the inferior PS2 port. Assignment Ada was far superior, as it was original, challenging, and had a reason to exist beyond "Double dip".
???

Assignment Ada wasn't superior to Seperate Ways lmao. It was the weakest part of RE4 by far, and it doesn't matter if SW wasn't in the original. All you did was gather 5 shitty plaga samples in a single mini-game mission, and it played closer to mercs. It's not even canon and it took like 20 minutes to beat. I beat that trash first try and never bothered launching it again.

Seperate Ways was a canon adjunct to the main story, and played similar to it with cutscenes, bosses, and all. It takes 4 hours to beat and adds more to the experience. It's also actually fun for replays, like the main campaign.

It doesn't make sense to claim AA is superior to SW.

I wish they gave a date. The game comes out in a month. :/

No doubt it's gonna be a timed or limited release demo, if the previous demos for RE's are anything to go, **** that garbage.

Omg it looks like a flash game! 😆

Darkside Chronicles confirmed canon. Leon and Krauser actually bring up Operation Javier during their fight. Pretty cool even if this means whiny monologue Krauser is also canon. Least he's more human now I guess despite the Vegeta personality.

Yeah, I'm hoping for some Javier DLC for this game down the line. Still not a fan of Krauser's voice though.

Gameplay looks 10/10. We've got less than a month bois

While Krauser's new voice is a step down from his voice in the original admittedly, not as much an earsore as Lily Gao lifelessly reading Ada's lines aloud.

You not liking Ada doesn't make it any less a criticism. Still easily the worst VA in the game.

"We have Ada Wong at home."

Hearing that longer clip really brought it home. Jesus, she is awful.

Welcome to Raccoon City is getting a sequel in the form of a live action RE4 movie? Say it isnt so.

Cant wait to see how this Leon and Ada will have basically no chemistry.

Interesting to think who they might have for Krauser, though I expect the film to be trash regardless. The first one had a good casting in most areas and you saw how it turned out for everyone in it.

I realize is just a rumor right now, but can see it being true. The Mortal Kombat reboot film got a confirmed sequel earlier, so why wouldnt they do this?

^ still haven't watched Welcome to Raccoon City

i'm guessing keep avoiding it?

It somehow managed to be worse than the Anderson movies, and I hated those to my core. Fuk, it was so bad. Avoid it.

No one knows if the RE4 adaptation coming out is a sequel to it or not. I'm hoping not. I never want to see that version of Leon again.

Only the first movie was somewhat decent for the Anderson RE movies.

Didn’t they make Leon Indian or something in Welcoming to Racoon City? Lol, have fun with that shit.

^ Well he's Canadian and his parents were Indian.

It was weirdly simpler times when the main thing everyone had to blame was an OC Mary Sue for being the problem with RE film adaptations. At least the Anderson universe had a near perfect cast for the game characters, even if they were just treated as supporting characters in the end.

Not to mention a better budget and effects for the zombies and other creatures. Anything bad one can easily say about any of those films still doesnt make Welcome To Raccoon City better looking on its own.

I don't even give a shit about his ethnicity. He had Leon's pretty boy look at least. They just made him an incapable moron that was the butt of everyone's joke. Literally everyone treated him like shit and saved his life all movie. He contributed nothing. He was pathetic and nothing like Leon. No way they'll bring him back for an RE4 adaptation.

Lily Gao cringe aside, everything else is making me more optimistic. I do worry with the lack of Ada coverage so far however that Separate Ways may not be included and will be DLC. Hope I'm wrong. If I am and this becomes an overall banger, I'm gonna hold off til I get the game used. Fact remains: Capcom still intentionally screwed RE3make over pushing it to the side while focusing primarily on 4 to get where it is today so this is me responding in kind.

Ada would be seen meeting Luis only in Separate Ways so Separate Ways confirmed I guess? Though rumor has it the two campaigns might've actually merged in this remake. Might explain Ada being the least marketed if her number of times onscreen has been reduced as a result.

Played the demo, the environment design in this game looks fantastic. The village segment also played out really well while still matching the same beats as the original.
