It's hard to answer this because Goku have always been super human. I would say Batman because of this. Make a thread, General Tao (anime fts accepted) vs Batman.

Kung Fu and karate were used in Dragonball to various degrees too. Kaioken is also a style as well as the technique too. Around the king piccolo arc in the OG Dragonball was when styles were replaced with powering up until your stats were higher.

If we look at Martial artist showings, I would give it to Goku but again, its pretty hard determining this since Goku as a child was dodging light speed attacks and throwing people almost out of orbit with ease.

as much as i love batman, goku would take this.. even de-powered, goku would still love to fight bruce and gain a wealth of knowledge prior to beating him

I haven't followed Dragon Ball stuff since I was a kid, but doesn't Goku usually have a physical edge over anyone he beats? Does he have legit skill showings? Or any that would put him in a class with Bruce? Or even Huntress? Or, hell, even Ava Ayala or Finesse?

Yeah, it's a common feat.

We became quite fussy and started picking ones with art or on-panel statements suggesting that characters indeed dodged said projectiles, not simply aim-dodged them...

... but even then, we could dismiss those showings as retarded --- or --- we still needed to admit that those were short bursts of super speed, as streets can't sustain such speeds for prolonged time.

Anyway, this thread is about skill.

Batman's physicals can't compare with those of Goku --- who started his career as bulletproof already --- so his feats of dodging shit are more impressive, skill-wise that is, as he doesn't have Saiyan speed.

He relies on ninja vanish gimmicks sometimes, true, but that counts as skill, too.
