Because if he was caught outside or the ring, its self bfr. He should've lost the fight but the judges didn't know he ran outside of the ring to get the glasses because he was standing in the same spot when the attack went off. Look at the fight again and come back to me and talk about it. Look at the entire tournament and dissect the rules and then come back and talk to me.

Second question. The explosion that happened, during the instant the explosion went off, Goku broke free and outran the blast. He outpaced the entire explosion. Who can repeat that? Being in the heart of the explosion and outrunning it. Flash is one. Who else and why? COMBAT SHOWINGS.

Frieza attacks look like he is teleporting at super speed.

Thing is MUI Goku was stated by Universe 11 Supreme Kai to have been getting even faster after jiren attacked the others. Whis being a true master of U.I. and perfected is still leagues faster in terms of combat speed above even MUI Goku who just now learned to tap into UI at will.

UI requires one NOT to think about what action they want to take. Even Barry has to THINK what he wants to do, and both Wonder Woman and Whis both state exactly how UI and Combat Speed works....and they both work hand and hand. DB just operates on a level where Combat Speed is greater then Traveling speed.
